Started its life as a Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. A 1901 Stillwater paper notes there was a Rev. Lowry in town from the Cumberland Presbyterian of Cushing. A Cushing newspaper of 1904 cites a revival meeting at the Opera House with OKC Cumberland Presbyterian minister Rev. R.L. Phelps and a Rev. McLaury.
